Close to all the good areas, easy to get around town.
Not too clean, the T.V. didn't work and when I moved the dressor to see if it was plugged in I found lots of old dust under the dresser, kinda gross.
It was very cheap and parking was free.
Rooms are very old. Location in long walking distance to sights (Union Square,Fishermans Wharf).
First i've booked a king-size bed and we've got a queen-size, whyever. Then our room was very very small, no place for nothing. The view outside the window was miserable, at least light come in... The room was near the elevator, so we've heard all the people they came up or going down all night long and in the morning, and they weren't really quiet. For that price we've awaited something better. In planet hollywood in las vegas we had for less money a room like a kingdom! It felt like "oh let's build another room in the broom closet." And for parking another 30 dollars.
Very nosy and presumptuous staff.
What I liked best about this hotel was the location it was very close to were my destination was at the time.
There were multiple this hotel that it didnt like. Have a fridge or microwave I was expecting a little more for the price I paid and it was a little out dated.
Convenient to the symphony and opera. Not far from major shopping areas. Convenient on-site parking that comes with the price of the room. A nice patio area to sit and read. I have stayed at this place many times over the years and find it's location combined with it's cost makes it an ideal buy.
The lack of internet access. They say they have wifi, but the system is way too small for the facility. I probably will not stay there again until they upgrade their system and make it accessible 24 hours a day.
the hot tub was not working when I specofically called ahead and asked if it was and the chargrd my card $3.50 for nothing... Rip off
Location was convient and price was great
They did not have air conditioning, but we were able to open the window. They forgot to put large towles in our room.
Old,dark, not up to the star rating that it has been given.
i had to pay for an extra room cause the stuff was not there to give me an extra bed !!!i made sure to call and ask for the room before i booked the room,so when i get there wont be any confusion ...and here i am with two older parents and had drive from LA so tired asking why there is not an exra bed i did request it ?! i called i said and the person at the front desk said ...who did you speak, sorry i cant help you,my stuff left and i cant give a bed so you can go to a deferent hotel if you like ...i cod not belive it ,i been in the road all day and he is not going help me staying so i open my computer trying to find a hotel and the internet does not work ...is slow he says ..!!!! i cod kill him at that moment really ...so i give up cause my mom and dad were so tired and they are in the 70s` paid for an extra room to stay there ...not good and not fair at all ...hope one day the same happen to them in person ...but please pay couple extra dollars and go to a better place cause is not worth it ...the anger and stress that they gave me !!!
Staff was very friendly and helpful when I needed anything. The hotel is centrally located to everywhere I wanted to go with easy access to public transportation and in many cases offers multiple routes for reaching the same area.
There was no remote control for the TV and the room did not have a safe. Granted I didn't spend a lot of time watching TV and didn't feel the safe was a "necessary" precaution however they are both nice to have.
Excellent location, with easy access to MUNI, Van Ness. Free, secure parking. Reasonable, daily housekeeping.
I've stayed at the Oasis since 1972 and have seen it decline, even as it changed operators. It is definitely a second-class hotel, these days.
The hotel was in a great area from where you could walk to all the hot spots (Shopping, bars, Chinatown...). We could park our car for nothing in the garage.
The hotel room was pretty old and not in the best shape. There was no A/C and you couldnt open the window because the window was to a main street.
Near Nob Hill and Downtown. The price is great.
We found bugs in the room, and even if the hotel is well located, it's near a bad neiborhood (Tenderloin). Make sure to not walk in this neiborhood. Even the taxi driver told us to never go there.
the hotel was dated and tatty, noisy and rough area did not feel safe at night.
